Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Wealth Compass is a product of Nesh AI Technologies Private Limited ("Nesh AI", "Wealth Compass", "we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices and responsibilities you have. It applies to the Wealth Compass website, and the Wealth Compass applications on iOS, Android, and the web (together, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, or by submitting information to us, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service.
- Financial data you connect. Account balances, transactions, holdings, and related account metadata for the accounts and family members you choose to connect, accessed on a read-only basis through trusted, regulated third-party data-connectivity providers. We never receive or store your banking credentials for connected institutions; authentication happens with the provider or your institution.
- Information you provide. Name, email address, phone number, family member profiles, form submissions (such as early-access requests), support messages, and any other information you choose to give us.
- AI interaction data. Questions you ask the AI Advisor and the context needed to answer them. If you use on-device mode, those AI computations happen on your device (see Section 4).
- Usage and device data. App interactions, feature usage, log and diagnostic data, IP address, device and browser type, operating system, and identifiers used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in, preferences, security, and analytics.
- To provide and operate the Service: aggregate your family's accounts, categorize transactions, surface money drains, compute financial-health scores, and generate insights and guidance (including AI-generated responses).
- To create and administer your account and family workspace, and to authenticate you.
- To secure, maintain, debug, and improve the Service, including developing new features.
- To communicate with you about the Service: transactional messages, support, product updates, and (with your consent where required) marketing you can opt out of at any time.
- To enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the Service and its users.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and audit obligations.
3. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing (for example in the EU/UK), we rely on: consent (for connecting financial accounts and optional communications), performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), and legal obligation (compliance). You may withdraw consent at any time; this does not affect processing that happened before withdrawal.
4. AI processing and on-device mode
- The AI Advisor is optional. You can disable it and every core feature of the Service continues to work.
- If you enable on-device mode, AI answers are generated using offline models running locally on your device, and your data is not sent to cloud AI models for those answers. The security of your device, its operating system, and anyone you allow to use it is your responsibility.
- If you use cloud AI mode, your questions and relevant financial context are processed by our AI infrastructure to generate the answer.
- We do not sell your data to AI companies or use your family's financial data to train third-party foundation models.
- AI outputs are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are informational only; see the Terms of Service for the full AI disclaimer.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share information only:
- Within your family workspace, according to the permissions the workspace administrator ("head of the household") and members configure. Configuring those permissions correctly is your responsibility.
- With service providers who process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, such as cloud hosting, data-connectivity providers, analytics, and communications tools.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental requests; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nesh AI, our users, or the public.
- In a business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction or consent.
6. International transfers
We may process and store information in India, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers. By using the Service you consent to such transfers.
7. Data security
We protect data using 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest, read-only connectivity, access controls, and other technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for: keeping your credentials and devices secure, enabling available protections (such as device passcodes and biometrics), the actions of family members you add or grant access to, and promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access to your account.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you close your account or withdraw connectivity consent, we delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by law (for example, records we must keep for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes).
9. Your rights and choices
- Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
- You can disconnect financial accounts at any time, which stops future retrieval of data from those accounts.
- You can disable AI features, or use on-device mode, at any time in the app.
- You can opt out of marketing communications via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@wealthcompass.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may decline requests where permitted by law.
10. Children
The Service is intended for adults (18+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where a family workspace includes data about minors (for example, a child's account added by a parent), the adult who adds that data is responsible for having the legal authority and any required consent to do so.
11. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on and may link to third-party services, including financial institutions and data-connectivity providers. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, which we do not control and for which we are not responsible.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated as required by law. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
