Wealth Compass ("Wealth Compass", "we", "us") helps families see their finances in one place. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Wealth Compass you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account and financial data you choose to connect, accessed on a read-only basis through India's RBI-regulated Account Aggregator (AA) framework: account balances, transactions, and investment/mutual-fund holdings for the members you add.
Account information you provide to create and manage your Wealth Compass account, such as name, email, phone number, and family member profiles.
Usage and device data, such as app interactions, log data, and device/browser information, used to operate and improve the service.

2. How we use your information

To provide the service: aggregate your family's accounts, categorize transactions, surface money drains, score financial health, and generate guidance.
To secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the product.
To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
To meet legal, regulatory, and audit obligations.

3. Read-only access and consent

Financial data is retrieved only with your explicit, revocable consent through licensed Account Aggregators. Access is read-only: Wealth Compass can view balances and transactions to give you insight, and can never move, spend, or transfer your money. You can revoke consent at any time, which stops future data retrieval.

4. How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or advertise against your data. We share it only:

with service providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations (e.g. cloud hosting, Account Aggregators);
when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process;
with your direction or consent (for example, members you grant access to within your family).

5. Your choices and permissions

You control who in your family can see what, with granular, revocable permissions. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent, subject to applicable law. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

6. Data security

We protect data with 256-bit encryption in transit and at rest and operate over regulated, consent-based connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate technical and organizational measures.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When you close your account or withdraw consent, we delete or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is legally required.

8. Children

Wealth Compass is intended for use by adults managing household finances. Where a family includes minors, the head of the family is responsible for the data they add and for obtaining any consent required by law.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
